Father Frank Crowley, C.M. has had the privilege of giving Parish Missions since 1974. He has given well over 150 missions in over 24 states, including Hawaii, as well as in Australia for a year. He has spoken to over 500,000 people. Father Crowley calls it a privilege because of the strong faith he has seen in the people with whom he has come into contact. He likewise says despite the problems in the Church and the world, the faith of Christians is strong. People are still trying to serve God as well as they can.

Father Crowley belongs to the Congregation of the Mission of St. Vincent DePaul. He was born in Chicago, IL. After thirteen years of seminary education at Quigley, in Chicago, St. Vincent’s and St. Mary’s in Missouri, he was ordained a priest in 1957. The first seventeen years of this priesthood were spent in seminary, parish and retreat work. For the past twenty-five years he has been involved in Vincentian Parish Missions.

Father Crowley loves his work and looks forward to spending the days of the parish mission with the people of God. He puts it best when he says, “I am looking forward to this week of special prayer in both our lives…a week of sharing our thoughts , our problems, our wants and our desires. With God’s help, we will be closer to Him and each other at the week’s end. God bless you all.”

Fr. Hoye was born in California but grew up in a farming community in   southern Missouri for most of his life. In between school, his life was busy bailing hay and working the farm with his other two brothers. Growing up, he was influenced greatly by his mom (a nurse) and his dad (a surgeon) whose lives were about reaching out and helping others. Fr. Ron chose a similar path and was ordained a priest in the Congregation of the Mission of St. Vincent DePaul in 1991. Since then, he has done a variety of ministries that has involved him in the rural life of Southeast Missouri, the inner city of St. Louis and the urban experience of Chicago .

Fr. Hoye holds a B.S. in Philosophy and two Masters Degrees—a M.Div. in Theology from St. Thomas in Denver , CO and a MA in Ethics from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago , IL .

Fr. Hoye has been heavily involved in youth activities and programs both domestically and internationally. He co-founded the Association of Vincentian Marian Youth in the United States and founded a program of young adult service outreach in the United States called VOYA. He most recently was involved in campus ministry at DePaul University in Chicago where he continues to also teach classes in World Religion and Ethics.

Fr. Hoye enjoys the outdoors but says his love for backpacking and rock climbing in no way diminishes his enjoyment of attending a good baseball game (go Cubs). He runs marathons and participates in Olympic Triathlons during the summer and fall months. Fr. Ron listens to and enjoys all kinds of music and gratuitously admits his most tragic downfall: a tent, a kayak, and a good book in the middle of nowhere. Fr. Hoye currently lives in Chicago , IL .
